Changing the description of one of the fields in a database updates the modification date for all entries.
Should database management actions contribute to entry modification?
This is particularly frustrating because we have a newsfeed that filters for entries that have been modified in the last week. When we modify field descriptions… the feed gets inundated!

We couldn’t reproduce - can you provide some details: field name, field type, entity(ies) affected…
Maybe a screenshot of the activity log of an affected item

Entities affected: all
I’ve since found out that in addition to changing the description of a field, a new rich-text field was added to the database. Would this have triggered a modification date update?
