It’s a bit awkward to say that we are releasing custom apps today because you’ve already built over 300 of them during the beta .
In fact, it’s the most popular experimental feature we’ve ever had with over 100 customers participating. Thank you so much for pushing the limits and sharing your feedback!
Now we’re ready to unlock custom apps for everyone, not just the bravest souls. If you’ve hesitated to build custom UIs on top of Fibery, now is the time!

You can help a lot by bragging about your custom apps on the internet and telling your nerdy friends about Fibery. Especially if their spoon has just got bent .
Total game changer! I’m sitting at 9 apps including our app portal, all built in the last 10 days. Why change how you work to fit 5 different tools, when you can have a single tool that can not only manage the data but allow you to create the shared workspace of your dreams?
Still more to do and tweaks to be made, but I highly appreciate the work you’ve done so far and I’ll certainly be recommending Fibery any chance I get.
I have been following the custom apps closely - I was here when spaces were called Apps you can probably see me referring to them as such in some early posts in fact! I would love if somebody could explain if there is a way to use this feature to help with some of the big needs I still have:
expansion of Threads to generate notifications a different way that’s more slack-like in the inbox - love threads and think they could really alleviate the need for Slack and do so much more if iterated on in that directly
Display relations I a way that gets us closer to Polymorphic - I have many DB’s I use as tags that have too many levels because in some cases I need 4 levels of categorization (Objective → Project → Phase → Task) but I want to see cleanly just an objective’s task, or if I’m categorizing with work-type -

Unfortunately Apps will not help in all these 3 cases, they are like Views with custom layout and design, what you are asking are quite native Fibery features.
Theoretically when we will allow to create Entity View as Custom App you will be able to solve references and comments case.
ok great thanks, couldn’t ask for a more informed response! Very glad you guys are embracing AI. No question the underlying need for AI to have structured context to work optimally is something you guys are exceptionally well-positioned to take advantage of with all the core of Fibery that I know is your heart and soul. Again, being around here so long I’ve seen it for years and it’s why I went all in with my team in the early, “more raw” days. I’m referring to the various “AI + .md” approaches, the famous “Karpathy LLM Wiki” for example Reddit that I’m sure you’re aware of @mdubakov and probably most of the forum frequenters, but just in case some haven’t seen it that’s the link…I think it’s very relevant to what Fibery has to offer as AI continues to expand
But I have to say these custom apps and the trend of being able to do more with MCP just underscores the vision of Fibery - I have found AI understands structures in here very well the more I work in it!
I would LOVE to see a video showing a real-world, “watch it built” video that shows off:
A discussion around a current problem, and how an app can solve it
Thinking through the limitations of the current tool, but showcasing its strengths
A quick discussion on how to ask the AI, intelligently, how to build an app and things to consider
Iterating on the output to get a final product
I think this could go a REALLY long way towards helping less-technical users create something powerful and start getting ingrained even further into the Fibery ecosystem
