Colors in Databases

Hi Fibery team :slightly_smiling_face:

One feature we really miss is the ability to visually highlight records with colors based on conditions/filters directly in database views.

We used this quite extensively because it made navigation and administration much faster.

A few examples:

  • In our Users database, paid users, free users, and technical/service accounts were highlighted with different colors. This made it very easy to quickly identify accounts when managing permissions.

  • In Teams databases, technical users could be immediately spotted, and teams of the same type could share the same visual color coding.

  • In operational databases, different categories of records could be identified instantly without needing to read fields or apply filters.

There are many similar use cases where this visual cue was extremely helpful.

I know that we can create separate Views to achieve similar results, but this means creating and maintaining additional Views for each database only for the color highlighting we previously had.

Another small point of confusion: some of our databases still seem to have color highlighting from the past, but it is no longer obvious how to modify, update, or remove those colors. We may simply be missing something, but the current behavior is not very clear.

Would it be possible to bring back some form of conditional color highlighting directly within database views?
