Cannot customize mentions?

Hi,

I’m trying to customize Entity Mention fields as described in the documentation under “Customize Entity Mention fields to show”:

According to the guide, I should be able to hover over the database icon and click the … menu to choose which fields are displayed.

I’m using:

  • Fibery Cloud (fibery.io)
  • Admin account
  • New Rich Text editor
  • Creating entities via Create Entity

However, the … menu never appears, so I cannot customize the mention fields.

Is this a bug, or has the UI changed since the documentation was updated?

Hey! Are you in architect mode? Changing the mentioned fields is part of Architect privileges.

Hello, thank you for your swift response. I would guess so, but I may be wrong. I am atm single-user and admin.

Just checked - no, I wasn’t. The need for architect mode was not clear to me. I thought the button only was a filter for the databases.

Problem solved.

May I make a suggestion for a need to clarify the button in the UI?

Yeah, maybe some on-boarding explanation on this could be useful. It’s quite a central part to getting started.

Architect mode is for when you want to edit system data (reorder fields, configure views, add spaces, edit users, etc.) and User mode is when you are just interacting with the data.

I understand now. Having the distinction is actually quite useful. I did a search before I posted here, and did not find this (as architect mode does not show up for the search term “mention”. Also, the mouse-over could be more informing on what the button actually does.
