Since a few days ago (or maybe a week?), rules have not been behaving as expected for our email integration database. It seems like the filters for the “Message (Snippet)” field are not being recognized anymore. This has led to some entities being mistakenly deleted and others not receiving the proper field values for organizing purposes.
Are you aware that there is a slight delay in between a rich text field being edited and the snippet being updated to reflect the contents?
Snippets are kind of like formula fields that get calculated asynchronously, so when used in automations, the behaviour can be non-deterministic, if the rule is not carefully designed.
Yes. This is why the rules are on a schedule rather than being triggered on edit or on entity creation. The rules haven’t been changed in months, and they were working properly until sometime recently.
Can you share a screenshot of one of your rules that is now misbehaving
Thanks for the screenshot.
It’s really hard to understand what’s wrong without digging into your data. We see no errors in logs and also don’t see any delays in snippet processing in our monitoring.
Can you please check entities on which filters worked wrongly? And see what value snippet has there, also probably check the history, when this field was updated.
If there is a difference between snippet and actual rich-text field, then please share those entities public ids. And your workspace name. You can dm me here with that data. I will be able to check carefully then.
There was unnoticed queue incident on US cluster, that affected your workspace.
Snapshots should be up-to-date now - please check.
Sorry for inconvenience and than you for bringing our attention to it.
Yes, it looks like the snippets are updating now. Thank you!
