Custom Apps improvements (still in experimental mode)
There is a very good chance that Custom Apps will be publicly released next week, we are nailing the last problems and overall the experience is very stable already. Today we’ve released several improvements that will make architects life a bit easier.
Visual edit: click element, describe changes
Now you can select apps elements and ask AI to update these specific parts. It speeds up iterations and make Apps creation process less painful. Use Shift to select several elements.
Version history for Apps
Now on every app build new version is created. You can check apps versions history and restore app state to any version.
Other Apps improvements
- Pro (or higher) Plan is enforced for Custom Apps now
- Now you can Duplicate Custom App
Remember, that you can Build Apps via MCP and save Fibery Credits.
Convert Select field → Database
Now you can convert single- and multi-select fields to a proper… database! There are some cases where select field limitation hit you hard and you want to expand it with some meta-data.
Navigate to select field and click Convert → Database action. As a result, new database will be created and all existing views, formulas and other things will remain intact (however, if you have services that accessed this field via API it can break).
Note that you can also convert Single-Select to Multi-Select now.
Fibery AI and MCP: Update small part of rich text and add comments
Now Fibery AI and MCP can update small parts of documents and rich text fields. In the past it could only replace the whole document, but all comments got lost. Now it updates small parts of relevant text and document evolution is more natural.
Some things are not supported (so far): Table structure edits (moving around table rows and columns), Creating column layouts (2/3/4 columns), Embeds, File attachments.
Fibery AI and MCP Server can also add comments to rich text. You may use it to ask AI review the doc and add comments to some places so you can review them and correct things faster.
Show Details for changes in automations rules history
You can see details of changes of automation rules and buttons. Open Activity in Automation Rule or Button and click Details. Details are AI-generated, but quite good. It was hard to implement diffs for all possible actions, and AI does a decent job here.
Improvements
- Slack Integration. Performance improved since we fetch replies via separate requests now
- Performance: Smart Folders performance improved in the left sidebar
Fixed Bugs
- Public sharing: Endless reloading when user opens shared link to document/whiteboard/entity which is not shared anymore and he is logged in the Fibery
- Pricing, Billing & Account: Different numbers for used AI credits in different places
- CSV import: Importing two ends of a self-relation works incorrectly
- Automations: Rule starts failing after Actions reordering
- MCP Server / CLI: No client icon during authentication of MCP Client
P.S. Your feedback is welcome below and check our new roadmap (created via custom apps, of course).
