The specific use case I’m looking for is with “Entity Linked” on references. It should run an action that is dependent on the entity where the mention occurs.

Use case:
Trigger: New comment
Action: Send that comment body to AI using webhook.
This should either be done using a script, or in {{}} text templating. However, neither of these support the “Step 1 linked entity” to pull content from.
I think this use case is going to get ever more prevalent.
I think it’s already a major use case and is one of the biggest limitations of Fibery automations right now, i.e. data from prior steps is not available to later steps. Thats why the vast majority of my automations have to go to an external service
