To be able to chart the number of tasks created, the number of active records certain users work on, etc. Basically, to query this like a normal DB. But for admins and privileged users.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but “Historical Reports” do a lot of this. They query the data in the activity log to make reports.

Do historical reports track whetehr checkboxes have been checked now?
I had to rework a few databases to use state fields after the fact and it skewed the accuracy of my data.
