Why is amount of votes per user so restricted in this Discourse forum?

Voting on topics in this Discourse forum appears to be very restricted. I’m a pretty heavy contributor to this Discourse platform, did not vote very much, but still am unable to vote or have to unvote another topic. I have been administering and implenting Discourse forums in many websites. I think that the high voting restiction here is not beneficial for the needed feedback from users. Can we loosen this up a bit?

I usually need to wait for someone to reply to an idea before I can “heart” it as I’m out of votes!

There has been a lot of discussion about votes and voting already, so I won’t recap (search the forum if you want to see everything that has gone before).
One point to make however is that the Fibery dev team is limited, and by making votes somewhat precious, it encourages users to think carefully before casting a vote, keeping the signal-to-noise ratio high, and thereby allows the product managers to see what is truly important to users.

At least, that’s the theory, and it can be debated til the cows come home
