I can’t seem to see that single/multi select is a detectable change in the automation rules. Is this something that is coming or not planned?

Ah yeah, it seems single select shows up. Multi select does not
For now in Automations we don’t support collections - m2m relations.
And Multi-select in fact is a m2m field, shown on UI as a field.
Good news: that will be fixed this week!
We will have a separate trigger for collections (ex. Assignees will appear as well)
