Mobile file permissions error

I am getting a permissions error when attempting to download any files using the mobile app on iOS. My phone and app are up to date and I am using an Admin account.

I looks like it was an iOS 26 bug :face_vomiting:. I deleted and re-installed Fibery and was re-prompted to pick a download location.

Nevermind, the issue persists. It worked for one download and now I get the same error.

Thank you, I will check this bug, we will fix it.

I just wanted to bump this again, all downloadable files are still basically useless on mobile for me.

We already fix this issue for multiple files in 1.1.2 build, could you please check again?

The issue still persists for me.

I’m on the 1.1.2 version.

When I initially re-install the app, the download works as you show. However as soon as I close and reopen it (specifically if I kill the process and restart), I get the permissions error. It’s like it loses permissions when the process is killed. The app never re-prompts me with the iOS folder picker either.

Thanks, will dig to this again :shovel:

Could you please try deleting the app, installing the latest version (1.1.3) from the App Store, and then tapping the PDF file again? If it asks about notifications, please enable them. :slightly_smiling_face:

Just tried this again, I still have the same issue. I am able to successfully download the first time I open up the app after re-downloading. If I close the app and then re-open and try again, I get the same permission failure. I can send a short video separately, the one I took is too large to upload.

Edit: The specific error message is:

UnexpectedException: You don't have permission to save the file "file_name.pdf" in the folder "Fibery". (at ExpoModulesCore/SyncFunctionDefinition.swift:139)

Thanks for the error message. I’ll take a look.

Could you please try installing the new 1.1.4 version from the App Store and see if the issue is still there?

Fixed! Amazing, thank you for tracking this down!!! This makes the app so much more usable for our team :raising_hands:
