June 2026 was not the top productive month either, however, there are some explanations based on vacations. Here are total vacation days in the last 4 months (total vacation days + total sick days - total overtime days):
- March: 73 days
- April: 78 days
- May: 122 days
- June: 124 days
It is like 6 people were off from the team, so lower output is mostly explained by these numbers. Note that May 2026 was the most vacationing month in Fibery history (137 days).
Granular Access.
Fibery Apps. Released as experimental, more people joined
Make AI Agents happy. Average progress, but future is brighter.
Growth. Good progress.
Other. Well, OK in general
On a positive side, in the end of June I feel like our focus is very good now with fewer themes and more people working together on fewer themes!
Custom Apps
Sergey rolled up his sleeves and did the very experimental release of Custom Apps (experimental) in the end of June. So far customers created ~100 Apps in several days, but we do not have much feedback. You can check some here and there.
Pavel and Ihar joined to help with many features, and then Aleh joined as well to help with apps validation.
We decided that Custom Apps will be a Pro feature
and people will be able to develop Apps outside Fibery, using own AI tools and own tokens. On a one side, we will maybe earn less by selling credits, on the other side tokens re-selling is not our value proposition, and with more Apps Fibery will be more valuable for our users.
Main things we want to accomplish in July and make a public release:
- Share custom apps as templates so a Template will be able to include Custom App.
- Agent should test created app (by opening it in chrome and clicking)
- Allow to add custom packages to generated appto make Custom Apps more powerful
- Edit files manually in App builder and use external Agent to develop Apps (via MCP) to let people implement Apps inside Claude Code, Codex, etc.
- Version history for Apps
- Add routes so exact page in app has own url to make multi-page apps
- Upload Files in app builder
I also feels and Templates/Apps gallery now is becoming more and more important, so I hope we will do something here as a part of Growth initiative.
Growth
Done
The two most important pieces of the new billing strategy for metered services went live just in time for custom apps:
- Use credits instead of calls in AI limits
- Allow to spend extra AI credits
We reset the limits on the last week of June, so our customers had a month worth of credits to spend in just 6 days. Still, four of them managed to consume all their credits and enable+spend extra usage. So we’ve tested the entire cycle and received $147 as a bonus
.
Next
In July, we’ll allow our beloved customers to enable extra usage not only for AI:
- Allow to spend extra automation runs
- Allow to spend extra integration syncs
Once we’re done with a few smaller things like notifications and trial support, we’ll proceed to the actual dashboard to help customers make those decisions about extra usage: Add usage dashboard for metered services.
Future
If this approach proves to be effective, there will be a stronger motivation to apply limits to other resource-intensive parts of Fibery:
- Introduce monthly API usage limits to pricing: might be especially important if % of actions performed via MCP and API continues to grow.
- Introduce limits on entity shares in pricing plans
It would be up to each hard-hitting customer: they can either optimize their setup or throw money at the problem instead. At least, our incentives would be aligned.
Granular Access
Access to Users
We released everything that we wanted in June ![]()
- Allow users with the same email domain to see each other
- Configure who can manage Users
- Extend non-read capabilities to Users in access templates
Overall, the pace has been great this time with a meaningful feature released almost every week:
And Dima did stuff in the core!
There are a bunch of edge-case bugs left, and Dima + Alexey will certainly fix them in July to ensure Anton’s mental health of not looking at In Testing Features forever
.
Adoption
5.7% of all collaborative workspaces have configured custom users visibility:
Here’s what level they choose:
We expect the adoption to go up to the level of Guests, so around 10%.
Next
The plan is for Dima to start Allow to hide Space data (entities) from Admins in July and for Andrew to Improve core queries performance.
Make AI Agents (and some people) happy
Some progress in this area. In the end of the month Kostas, Viktor and Eugene started to work on things related to this area, so we hope July and August will be decent months here.
We spent significant time on research and decided to
not jump into AI in Automations and focus on more tools and better MCP → AI Tools. Maybe more Agentic solutions will appear in the next 2 months, maybe Managed Agents by Anthropic will become better, but overall we just want to focus more on two existing AI themes and not introduce new concepts like External Agents just yet.
Done
We’ve improved Files support, added History to Automations and made Agent permission-aware.
- Fibery AI: Attach files to chat and access files in entities
- Support files and images in rich-text via MCP/agent
- Support Embed View in Fibery AI
- Automations history
- Open Agent: Build for Architects (not only admins) + make agent permissions-aware
Next
Future looks bright, since more people joined and we will work on:
- Good API for Rich Text, including partial update, comments, mentions, highlights creation and suggestions. Kostas is working on Update small part of rich text now.
- Better Undelete and Undo. Viktor is taking Batch undelete after mass deletion and Batch undo after mass accidental changes and working on technical concepts now. We should kickstart these features soon.
- Better History mostly by Eugene, including Integrate document history into entity history and Track additional info about how the change was made (MCP, API, etc) and Automations Audit Tab
- And finally more MCP AI Tools where Max will add Create Report Views via MCP and other tools will follow.
Other
We were quite focused and did not spend much effort on other things.
Whiteboard
Done
- Export Whiteboard to PNG
- Whiteboard: Popular framework templates
- Make Whiteboard fully functional on iPads (tablets)
Next
- Upload and preview video files on Whiteboard
- Next iteration with Templates
Search
- Filter search results by People fields (We still have plans to add Modification Date filter, but maybe only in August/September).
Other Other
Done
Some small improvements that did not take much time:
- Set static default values for basic fields
- Add move row and column in table menu action
Next
Here some features were prioritized higher based on important customers feedback:
- Customize load limit (aka page size) for embedded View (Table, List)
- Some love to Form Views:
- Form View: Allow user to create new entities in Collection
- Form View: Allow user to create new entities in relations
- Some security things:
- Specify if User is Observer, Member, or Admin via SCIM (SSO)
- Track Last login and last activity date for a user
P.S. Your feedback is welcome, as always! ![]()
