Currently, the ‘Update existing’ option requires members to have ‘Update all entities’ permissions for the database. This means I have to assign the Editor role to users at the database level.
Our use case involves a central database where everyone has Submitter rights. We grant certain Creators the Editor role and apply extended permissions based on specific conditions.
Users need to update only the entities they already have access to. However, they currently cannot do this via CSV unless we give them Editor rights for the entire database. This is a problem because they can then see or accidentally modify other people’s data.
Is it possible to allow users to update data using a CSV import without granting them full Edit access to the entire database?
