It can be tricky to see where a column ends, how big it is / how the sections are divided / how many columns there are.
Sometimes I try to line them up, and its a bit finicky, and sometimes I think that I am typing outside a column while im actually typing inside of the column. Its not a major problem, but a bit annoying.
I would suggest the option to see the outline of a column, or some other visual aid to better understand the scale. I like that they are invisible by default (it is a nice and clean visual), but sometimes its handy to know where the boundaries are
The thick line that appears when you can drag to change the width does help a lot, but only for a specific moment and when you find it. And I understand that a harsh line will look too much like a table.
Some suggestions:
- Show the column outline as a very faint line or dashed line (permanently)
- Show the column outline when you hover / interact with the column settings (3 dots)
- Show the column outline while you are editing inside / when you focus on the column
