I think having a color field would be pretty nice, especially when combined with: [UI/UX] Views - Color - Automatically Pull from Field Values
This way things will be just a bit more visual, where you can give colors to entities by formula (pull from their state, for example), and then all views will reflect those colors of the entities automatically.
Maybe per database there’s a “Default” color field, and it’s over-ridable per view. This would also mean that entities referenced in rich text have a color, and entities referenced in whiteboard have a default color. Without needing to make complex color rules for every view created.
