When I open the Fibery mobile app on android, I get placed on my Home screen. I cannot move away from this screen since there’s not bottom bar present. There’s also no icon to open the left side drawer. I’m currently stuck on the home screen. I’ve tried force closing and reopening. I’m using a pixel 9a running latest android.
Try closing the app and launching it via a quick action (tap and hold the app icon), for example by selecting Search or Create from the icon. Does the bottom menu appear for you?
Yes that worked. Do I have to do that each time?
If Home is currently opening with a menu on your side, it might be a cache issue on the device. I’ll check this case.
Hi @alex, to ensure this was not a temporary issue, I have stayed with the mobile app on Android 16 to test it now for months. Of course because of this issue, I mostly avoid the mobile app, since without being able to access the bottom bar and through it the navigation panel, the app becomes much less useful.
I can confirm that it happens very often, but unpredictably, in many different situations, such as:
- After using keyboard to type in a Rich Text Field or a Document.
- When a scrollable view larger than the screen height is accessed.
- After switching to another app and coming back, usually in Entity View, though not only there.
What I have found, is that it re-appears almost all of the time, if I change the font size and rush back to the app. In fact I have added the “Change Font Size” tile to quick setting in the phone, just to be able to use the app.
The attached video shows one instance of the problem and how the font size change temporarily fixes it.
