# What use does the workflow field have?

The “Workflow” field is basically like a single-select field with limitations?

I cannot add additional fields, I cannot add a value to each state to at least have 1 manual sorting option.. is there any benefit to using the workflow field except having entities in the final state grayed out?

Workflow field indeed gives you not much: color for final state in many places and progress icons

+Filtering search results by “Include Finished” true/false I believe is another small but useful feature
