Long URLs clutter the view. Small but helpful feature request:

**Current result**

- Long URL (e.g. Dropbox links) are displayed completely
- Field height increases
- Fields column because cluttered. Should provide a quick glance overview, long URLs are detrimental

**Feature Request**

- Display a short version of the URL
- Domain name only or [example.com/(...)](http://example.com/(...))

Is it covered by [this](https://community.fibery.io/t/add-title-for-url-type-fields/5241)?

I’d say “sorta” – that thread is about designating a specific title for the URL which is displayed instead of the (potentially) lengthy URL.

I don’t always necessarily want to have to come up with a title for a link I’m pasting, especially when it’s self-referential. For instance I have a field for my Websites database with “Login URL”. Using that field, the “title” will always be the same: some variation of “login page”.

I like the idea of having the title as an option, but in my opinion the URL should automatically truncate after some number of characters (…). Hovering on the link would of course display the entire path.

Then, I could also add a title if I wanted to, but the default URL length truncation covers me in all scenarios (and keeps my Fibery space looking nice and tidy).

Agree. For us, a lot would already be solved if long URLs are truncated. Titles are nice, but nice to haves.
