# Sort a Chart using a value not displayed in the Chart

I have a fairly vanilla chart displaying Progress, % on the X-axis and then Entity on the Y-axis. Is it possible to sort the chart using a value that isn’t displayed; e.g, sort by Public ID?

Do you mean Entity name on the y axis?  
What kind of chart is it (bar chart, scatter plot)?  
Do you mean sorting the order in which entity names are arranged (the y-axis)?

For my specific question, it’s a bar chart with Entity `Progress, %` on the X-axis and then Entity `Name` on the Y-axis. I would like to sort the Y-Axis based on another Entity value; e.g., sort by Entity `Public ID` or another column present for my Entities, but not displayed in the chart? But it’s also a more generic question for all chart types (there are 6 chart types).

Well, in general, the answer is the same, I just wanted to be able to make a video which would more closely resemble what you were doing:
