# Show Forms for \<X\> whenever New \<X\> is shown in sidebar

It would be good to show the forms with which you can create a new entity whenever “New ” is shown in the sidebar. At the moment you need to navigate to a view for that type to create it through a form.

My usecase is specifically in using smart folders in which I’d like to provide self-discovery to my users on what “types” of entities can be created.  
At the moment, they either need to go to a View and select the form, or they need to create the entity in the sidebar and then trigger the button on the entity. This requires me to maintain two flows for what is in essence the concept of “templates”.

😥 I almost thought that it was already implemented when I saw that the experimental lab had the option to enable forms for quick add, but it doesn’t seem to add it to the sidebar.

This is a nice idea, we will consider replacing + in sidebar for Smart Folders with the same UI as for Quick Add in top left.

I missed the quick add in the top-left, that definitely works for me.
