Edit: I see an added comment on the roadmap item that it’s not being removed. Thank you!!

I saw this in the public roadmap: [Fibery](https://the.fibery.io/@public/Public_Roadmap/Roadmap_Item/Board-View-Improvements-410/anchor=I-suggest-to-remove-Line-card-size,-as-i--8c7a7ac7-fee3-4b2a-bc97-713d1fc74a09)

I don’t know if this has been decided or not, but I personally use board view → size:line a lot in replacement of list view when I don’t need more than one level of hierarchy.

See here the advantages:

> Use a board view, and use rows as groups. there that can be filtered contextually. No idea why context filters work there, but not on other groupings, but this could be a solution for now. You can set the board view items to “line” then it looks like a list. And i personally prefer the UI of the groups like this as well, but maybe thats just personal preference. Down side is it only allows for one level of hierarchy, but in this case I think thats okay. Curious if it solves it.

> Awesome new features heart_eyes I really love that the first version of grouping is released. However, I was hoping that there wasn’t a need to open/close levels to see what’s in a group. Currently we hacked grouping by using a board view with only 1 column. Would be awesome if that’s possible in a table since you can then show more helpful information. In the released version of list grouping, I need to open/close each and every state / assignee / etc. to see what’s in it. That’…

Emoji field isn’t nice to use in list view as it shows it twice:

Can’t turn off the colored square that indicates database. On board view you can turn it on or off and indicate it’s display type.

If anything, bringing list view’s hierarchy INTO board view in order to replace the list view would be much better than removing the “size: line” in board view. List view’s line is less good than board view’s line. And grouping is also much nicer in board view than list view. And it allows you to group in two different axis. So many advantages.

Kind of like this:

If the Epic is in a given state, it shows the User Stories (and Tasks) under the Epics. In Fibery, I can choose to show multiple databases, but the entities do not get grouped. I can enable the sub-d…

For my (scrum) team the (Kanban) Board View is crucial for Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming and all the usual agile shebang. For this, we need the ability to show both User Stories as well as Tasks. JIRA does a nice job with this: While the basic Board View allows for some workarounds with formulae, it’s far less powerful than the Grid and List view, where I can filter and sort the ca…

I concur with @RonMakesSystems. The board needs more information dense options. I think we’re never using the big cards.

To be fair, I barely use Line either, but that’s because it’s not very usable. I would, however want an item that’s compact, maybe 1–2 lines max allowing me to have icons in there.

The same as being able to see the Assignee as a profile image, I wanna see single-selects (like priority or size) and workflow states as icon only and then 1–2 lines of text.

The board is wasting more space with the permanent “add column”, the non-sticky row labels and the non-compact headers. 🙂
I’d love to have the “line” option with a choice of how many lines and, worst case, concatenation the string with a formula and emoji.

Thanks!
