# PDF Viewer Rollback?

Did the new PDF viewer get rolled back? I got used to using it for a week or so and then went to open another PDF today and was prompted to download with no obvious way to view.

Hello, pdf viewer works for me. Also we do not implement our own PDF viewer we user basic Web Browser capabilities, so support may vary. Can I ask you to share a screen recording here or via Intercom in the product.

Hi Viktar, I tried again today and realized that I had mistaken the file for a pdf when it actually was an heic photo file that would not open in the photo viewer.

Is it possible to heic support so those photos can be viewed as well?

For images preview we also use standard Web Browser capabilities. As I see HEIC format is mostly unsupported. For sure, it can be rendered with a 3rd party viewer, however it is not in our scope in the moment.

I’ll add an insight, thanks for feedback.

To make Chrome open PDFs in a browser go to Settings \> Privacy and security \> Site Settings \> Additional content settings \> PDF documents and select “Open PDFs in Chrome”. If it still downloads, toggle the “Download PDF files” setting off.
