# On mobile, new entity field values are discarded if keyboard is open

When using an entity form view on mobile, you need stop editing a field in order for the current value to be saved when creating a new entity. This behavior does not match the desktop app or web behavior and it adds friction when trying make new entities quickly.

**Edit:** To clarify, I have an on creation rule that sets the Quantity value to 1 if it is blank in creation.
