Hi folks! Today’s release includes some fancy things and some QoL improvements. Enjoy!

## 🔥 Custom Apps as Entity Views: design the entity page you actually need

Describe the entity view you want, and AI builds it. Build a dashboard, a form, a view with custom layout and 3 columns, an interactive game. These are fully working views where users can read and edit fields, related collections or any other things you can imagine.

Enable multiple entity views on any single entity, click Add View → App View, and describe what you want to see:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/fibery/original/2X/c/c0db2aa0b70ab89e4dd44477cd1fe9a41979da63.jpeg)

An App View belongs to the database, so every entity gets it. Make it the default view, and everyone sees it when they open an entity:

Some hints:

- **Works where entities go.** App Views appear in shared entities, so they’re great for client-facing pages. They also are part of space templates.
- **Pair it with Custom Apps.** Build a custom app, such as a portfolio overview, and entity views in the same style, so users drill from overview to detail with the same custom UI.
- **Create View App via MCP:** Architects can also build App Views in any agent with Fibery MCP. Try prompt like "_Use Fibery MCP and create a custom entity view for Feature that shows [describe your need]"_.
- Custom Apps as Entity Views are available in Pro and Enterprise plans.

Show us what you got!

## 🌶 Suggestion mode: review docs without leaving Fibery

Now you can switch any document or rich text field into suggestion mode: click `…` → `Suggest changes`, make your edits, then click the suggestion mode button to exit. Every change shows up in the Suggestions panel on the right with its author, and the document owner can accept or reject all changes or some changes.

Ask Fibery AI or any agent connected via Fibery MCP to suggest edits instead of rewriting your text. You stay in control and accept only what you like. Try something like “Fix grammar and unclear sentences as suggestions”:

NOTE: Suggestion mode has many limitations, you can’t add tables, images, doc columns, embeds, dividers, quotes, callouts, code blocks. These things are relatively hard to add, so we will wait for your feedback before jumping into implementation.

## 💰 Caps for monthly AI credits (reminder)

As we previously announced, this month we’re introducing the maximum number of AI credits that a workspace can get, regardless of the number of paid seats:

- **Standard:** 250 AI credits per paid seat **up to 10,000 credits** ;
- **Pro:** 500 AI credits per paid seat **up to 25,000 credits** ;
- **Enterprise:** 1000 AI credits per paid seat **up to 50,000 credits**.

This will only affect the top consumers among the largest workspaces. In fact, only three of our customers have ever reached these caps — we’ve contacted them personally.

If you find yourselves approaching the limit, two suggestions:

1. If you’re building custom apps, consider doing so [via MCP](https://the.fibery.io/@public/User_Guide/Guide/Build-Apps-via-MCP-528). This doesn’t consume Fibery AI credits and is free for you if you have a Claude, ChatGPT or another provider subscription.
2. If you can’t be bothered with the MCP, enable [extra usage](https://the.fibery.io/@public/User_Guide/Guide/Monthly-limits-extra-usage-for-AI,-automations,-and-integrations-384/anchor=How-do-we-go-beyond-plan-limits--9d1e72da-6afa-42bf-aea6-e3803f23b416) for AI.

## 🟨 Even better tables in Documents

We’ve added a few missing pieces to make text tables easier to work with.

**Drag to add or remove rows and columns.** Drag the table edge to add rows or columns, or drag back to remove empty ones. Cells with content are never removed this way.
**Duplicate rows and columns.** Copy a row or column with all its content and formatting from the table menu. The copy appears right next to the original.
**Fit to width.** Make a table match its content in one click, without resizing columns by hand. It adapts to your page width (Narrow, Medium, or Wide).
**Align content.** Align text left, center, or right in a cell, row, or column. It’s handy for numbers.

## Smarter drawing on Whiteboards

Turn on Smart drawing in the pencil options, and your hand-drawn strokes become clean shapes: rectangles, ellipses, triangles, arrows, and more. Draw an arrow between shapes, and it becomes a connector that snaps to them.

## Style your relation lines on Whiteboards

Database relations on Whiteboards now support custom looks. Select a relation line and change its color, line style (solid, dashed, or dotted), shape, and arrowheads.

It’s visual only, your data and relations stay the same. Use it to highlight important links or group relations by different style.

## 🐶 New illustrations in Inbox

Finally, Inbox screens got some extra love (and dogs). We’ve created a new collection of Inbox illustrations in Fibery’s fresh visual style, covering empty states, errors, and all those “can’t display this” moments, with full light and dark mode support. We hope you won’t see the error states too often, but when you do, at least you’ll have some nice artwork to look at.

## 🤦 Facepalms

On September 29 a bug in our release caused **every rich text save to refresh the modification date of all entities with a rich text field** , not just the one being edited. No content was lost or changed, only the modification dates were affected. We fixed it the same evening and are adding alerts to catch anything like this within minutes, not hours. We’re truly very sorry!

## 🦋 Improvements

- **AI:** Claude Sonnet 5.5 is added to Fibery AI and Custom Apps builder
- **File field.** Now you can use File Field in Lookups and Formulas. For example, see all tasks attachments in a project.
- **Modification date.** Now when rich text field is updated, modification date is updated as well
- **Activity log** : now you can see details of rich text field changes in activity log. Click `Details` button on an event row.

## 🦐 Fixed Bugs

- **Gantt View:** It’s impossible to drag&drop items to the bottom of the group in some case
- **Entity View:**
  - New Button is added to all entity views if database has more than 1 entity view
  - Link/Unlink options doesn’t work in expanded relation list

- **Custom Apps:**
  - Can’t edit app URL on mobile, there is no scroll to access Edit button
  - Attachments are not saved in prompt

- **Automations:**
  - Z-index issues in automation popup + details popup
  - Filters in Automation trigger: ‘is not any of’ (is none of) previous-state filter never fires, even though equivalent to a positive ‘is any of’ filter

- **Form View:** ‘Ooops’ message should be replaced with correct fail explanation
- **History & Audit Log:** Modification date is not updated when changes are done in the rich-text
- **Inbox** : Private user is listed incorrectly in the list of watch changes notification item
- **Fibery AI Agent:**
  - Entity with files in context causes agent to think user uploaded files directly to chat
  - Agent does not get URL’s in some tools and hallucinates them instead
  - Fibery AI should almost always show entity as mention in resulting reply
  - fetch\_by\_id tool has 60% failure rate

- **Performance** : “Page not found” shown while a heavy page is still loading

P.S. Yet another week to delight and surprise you. Enjoy!

> 🔥 Custom Apps as Entity Views: design the entity page you actually need

This is going to be a game changer!!

It’s almost the same as this: [What if entity view was treated as a dashboard?](https://community.fibery.io/t/what-if-entity-view-was-treated-as-a-dashboard/8322)

Wondering if it would be possible from a tech standpoint to embed fibery views into custom apps. Fibery table view, ghant view, ~~calendar view~~ is better than any view an ai could cook up!

I also personally am not a fan of the name “App View” and “Custom Apps”. I think “App” is a bit too broad. I’d name it something like Custom View with AI. And rename the dropdown to “Default” and “Custom”. Both of them are types of entity views. Why is an entity view made by AI suddenly an “App”, and not an entity view? Love the feature, not sure about the name. This puts Fibery closer to things like Lovable, Zite, etc. Different ballgame.

This is excellent! So looking forward to using custom apps as entity views — this solves UI problems that we’ve had for a long time where users get confused about the more nerdy, database look of the UI (which I like, but less ‘computer-y’ users struggle with). I especially love “pair it with custom apps” if that means (I’ll be exploring next week!) those views can be used in custom apps — this will save a LOT of duplicative work and make it where we can leverage the structured power of Fibery more and vibe code less — do it once in the entity, it reliably opens when you open an entity from custom app instead of having to ‘recreate’ the same view. Yay! Definitely delighted.

Better tables is also a huge boost — I would often find myself getting frustrated with tables, so this is very welcome!

Suggestion mode is super-interesting and will open up a lot more AI use for proposed editing.

All the other improvements & bug fixes look good too. Definitely a wonderful week!

Pop-corn!!! A lot of pop-corn!!! Thank you guys - awesome release! Won’t list new features - they are all cool.

Could you ever possibly decide to allow Custom Apps not building but deployment to the workspaces of Standard or even Free plan?

Amazing feature!!! That’s exactly what I was missing in Fibery.
Entity views are so difficult to organize in a way that saves screen space but still makes the data easy to read.
What a pity that this feature is only for Pro members 😭 😭 😭 😭

I know money isn’t free, but Fibery does pack an awful lot in to the money they charge? I’m not aware of any other company you can get this much value from a subscription (not even Notion).

Totally agree!!! Only, as a solo freelancer, I have to evaluate whether that’s really necessary for my needs. Especially because I would not use any of the other features in Pro.

But I would love to try it out; maybe I’ll upgrade for a month to try 😉

Not exactly that, but imagine you have a custom app that shows some Inventory items. Now when a user clicks on Inventory item usual Entity View opens. With this release you can create Custom Entity View that is simpler and matches the design of inventory custom app. I hope it makes sense

That’s exactly what I was hoping for. Already created the first custom app view for a database (copying the view I had created in a custom app with side drawers). Way less buggy and ‘fragile’ to maintain than trying to get custom app to manage a bunch of custom views — also eliminates weird behavior where mostly custom app opened my custom view in the app but sometimes there were places I hadn’t thought to ‘catch’ it and so it opened up native. Now I just have to revert custom app to opening native entity than opening it in my view.
Can a custom app specific which view to open? That would be incredibly amazing.
