Hi guys, I just noticed that when I expand an entity to the “Open as View” full screen view, there are new spaces on the right or left, making the content more narrow. ![Image 2021-06-22 at 10.19.11 AM](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/fibery/original/2X/5/5fa18ec75c517a4de58043ebfb6897ba37b5bae0.png) Is this intended? I’d really like to ask that you bring back the previous UI where the full expanse of the content in the Entity is the width of the screen. This was a great help in expanding out Collections in particular so I could display more fields in full, without truncation. My team used this daily in meetings. We have Entities for full projects that contain a lot of data, and the expanded view was the only way to see it well at times. Please let me know about this. ---

Are you using a laptop? On a laptop screen this does not happen, but on a larger desktop monitor is where I am seeing this. We use our larger monitors extensively with that view so we can get full visibility of otherwise truncated fields in Collections, and odd Rich Text formatting that occurs when there are a lot if references in rich text fields. As you can see in my screenshot, those fields no longer expand so we lose some benefit. I hope this is a bug that can be fixed! ---

This is the culprit: ```auto .css-psv0tl { max-width: 1680px; } ``` If you override that with a browser CSS customizer tool, you can have full-width views back: ```auto .css-psv0tl { max-width: unset; } ``` I use the [User Javascript and CSS](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/user-javascript-and-css/nbhcbdghjpllgmfilhnhkllmkecfmpld) Chrome add-on, but there are many similar add-ons. ---

Ok thanks really hoping you guys can address this one way or another, been a while since I raised the issue…it really was disappointing to suddenly open entities on our large screens one day and see they were much narrower than before. ---

I know it’s been a long time on this one, but wanted to find out if there is any chance of this getting fixed. Would really save a lot of scrolling down the page if comments, references, rich text could all be expanded to the width of the screen on wider monitors. Thanks! ---

From what I’ve understood from the discussion in some of the recent release topics, the ability to make any fields/views the ability full width is coming soon. ---

Every time somebody changes the width of the view, it looks different for the other team members. If you set it to ‘full width’ on a 15-inch screen, it’s not full width on 22-inch or 27-inch. The result is that we have all kind of different widths on pages which really triggers OCD 😂 ---

ok thanks, I have not been following updates as I used to - and the big reason is the team has executed a ton of unbelievably useful features the last 18 months so I don’t have the need to make requests as often as I used to! Would love to see anyway to expand the entity view across a 27 inch or larger monitor so however that would be doable is fine with me! ---

@YvetteLans , so the reason I posted this back in 2021 is once upon a time the whole entity just stayed “wide” on a wider screen. IF you look at my screenshot at the very top of this post, you can see I’m highlighting the white spaces on the sides of the Rich Text box. At some point there was a change and entities stopped expanding “wide.” @Alex as you saw weighed in, but I’m guessing this was a low priority for the team. As our Fibery instance grows and we have expanded entities with a lot of comments and references, being able to see text wider, and not scroll so far down the screen would be very helpful. Hopefully your feedback is useful to the Fibery team and maybe this feature will be done soon! ---

I’m not sure the type of full width you’re talking about is what Fibery is talking about. If you want it to be fully locked to full width and have no one in the workspace be able to change it (which I agree, would be nice!) then I don’t know if that’s coming. I was more speaking to the annoying “jenga effect” we have now, where some things like relations and docs can be manually expanded to full width, whereas other things like rich tech fields are not expandable so users are awkwardly bouncing around between content that is misaligned with each other. I’m not sure who was asking for “per field” width adjustment, but when I inquired about it at the time was told it’s because [too many characters on a line is hard to read](https://community.fibery.io/t/mar-28-2024-wide-rich-text-content-icons-in-board-views-columns-and-rows/6028/4) ---

But what if you: - Have a toggle for ‘full width’ → then align all elements on the page to the left instead of center. - Rich text fields stay in current max width because of readability, but they are left aligned so that it looks even. That’s why I hope that there will be an option to left align the whole page. Currently my views are full width but the top of the page is center aligned. That causes the ‘Jenga effect’ I think. ---

I hadn’t seen the post about [it being hard to read too many too wide of a text on a screen](https://community.fibery.io/t/mar-28-2024-wide-rich-text-content-icons-in-board-views-columns-and-rows/6028/4), but bottom line I still prefer the rich text boxes wide as they once were.
