An option to spend less, an option to spend more, and a bunch of quality-of-life improvements. Enjoy!

## Build custom apps via MCP (experimental)

Now you can create [custom apps](https://the.fibery.io/@public/User_Guide/Guide/Custom-Apps-(new)-502) with Claude, ChatGPT, or your agent of choice. Go put those subsidized tokens to good use! Here’s a short demo:

[![](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/fibery/original/2X/9/9e720359df224a4ac6dee94bcf619888d6675680.jpeg "Developing Custom Apps via Fibery MCP") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1S-ahPXPMg)

All you need is an agent that can work with files: Claude Code or Codex would do as well as Cowork and, hm, Work. Connect [Fibery MCP](https://the.fibery.io/@public/User_Guide/Guide/Fibery-MCP-Server-401) if you haven’t and tell your agent to create a custom app.

The agent will extend your Databases as needed, develop the app locally, and then upload the result to Fibery. You can both create new apps or iterate on existing ones this way.

Building custom apps via MCP doesn’t consume Fibery AI credits, only your AI provider’s limits, so it’s most certainly more economical for you. We’ve had to fight our greed for this, so we hope you’ll enjoy this new option 🙃.

The tooling is freshly baked, so your feedback would be very welcome! Meanwhile, we’ll be working on apps versioning and the ability to select some part on UI and ask AI to change it.

P.S. Speaking of custom apps and WIP, check out our new (unpolished) [public roadmap dashboard](https://the.fibery.io/@public/Public_Roadmap/Releases-Pulse-16608) served as a custom app.

## Enable extra usage during trial or startup phase

Sometimes 500 AI credits are not enough to explore Fibery capabilities during trial and decide whether it’s a good fit for you. Unfortunately, we cannot include much more credits for free because they have an inherent cost.

The solution? Add a payment method, enable [extra usage](https://the.fibery.io/@public/User_Guide/Guide/Monthly-limits-extra-usage-for-AI,-automations,-and-integrations-384/anchor=How-do-we-go-beyond-plan-limits--9d1e72da-6afa-42bf-aea6-e3803f23b416), and continue exploring. You’ll only pay for what you use.

 ![extra-usage-settings](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/fibery/original/2X/c/cd649975b91cfff879ab9b5201e32e86e1b6eaa8.jpeg)

The same applies to startups enjoying [our 6 months of Pro plan for free](https://fibery.com/startup-program). You don’t have to start paying for the subscription earlier just to get the most out of Fibery AI.

## 🦋 Improvements

- **Sidebar**

- **Jira integration:** sync several Jira accounts (aka instances) into the same set of Fibery Databases.

## 🦐 Fixed Bugs

- **Forms:**

- **Whiteboard** :

- **Mobile:** Video upload in rich-field isn’t working in iOS mobile app

- **Entity View:** One tooltip is expected on hovering ‘Open related entity’ button

- **Table View:** Expand all stops working in context list with self-relation after second click

- **History & Audit Log:** Message should be updated for restored buttons and rules

- **Automations:** Wrong record about changed Actions is appeared in the History if only trigger and owner are changed

- **MCP Server:** MCP and Fibery AI can set Field’s description to more than 280 characters which messes up wih UI

This is HUGE and IMO keeps your system open to adapting and enabling users to leverage the most cutting edge AI tools that are constantly changing, without you all having to reinvent your own versions of Claud Code, Codex..etc.

Thank you!

Some technical details here.

We use Anthropic Managed Agents for writing App code. This is basically Claude Code hosted by them. So when developing an App inside Fibery UI, you are always on the latest possible Anthropic stack. But you are now free to switch to OpenAI or any other provider you prefer more.

@Sergey_Truhtanov, Would this be possible - to change LLM - for video transcribing? I use video transcribing a lot. But then I have to copy-paste the results to outside Claude and run some Antropic smarter models to recover the text meaning, especially when the speech was other than English. Most possibly I can automate this. But the point is to use 1-2 runs inside Fibery, than doing that also outside.

@antoniokov , any plans for the other half of the year to give some love to the mobile app? Or is there also an idea given this AI movement to generate mobile apps with the mobile-native-feeling UI/UX? 🙂

No plans for this, so far we are heavily on Anthropic stack for Apps.

But with local development flow you are free to make more complex workflows, including different llm calls.

Hello! 😀
When we used Custom Pages, each page had an internal URL that we could insert into an Embed and then distribute across different Spaces for multiple teams.

This was very convenient because whenever we updated the original Custom Page, the changes were automatically reflected everywhere it had been embedded.

Is there a similar internal URL for a Custom App? If so, where can we find it? Or is there another way to embed the same Custom App in multiple Spaces while maintaining only one shared version of it?

P.S.
Smart Folders unfortunately do not solve this problem for our company at all, as we have many departments with different access requirements. Because of this, we already have to maintain separate Spaces for each team, which creates additional superoverhead. We would really prefer not to face the same problem with Custom Apps and have to maintain separate copies of the same app for every team 🫨 .

Select “Open in new tab” in “…” menu on the App View.

Copy that url from the opened tab to your Embed View.

This should do the job.

In the future we will allow to edit the “slug” part of an App public link.

So you’ll be able to change: _https://{Fibery\_workspace\_name}/apps/new-app-1_ → _https://{Fibery\_workspace\_name}/apps/my-super-app_

We’re continuously improving the mobile app 🙂 Since our mobile clients aren’t native yet, some improvements are harder to implement right now. Please keep sharing your feedback with us in the community 🧀

Custom apps behave like any other sidebar view in that regard: you can mention them and embed them just as you would with a board/table/list etc.
They can’t operate as a [context view](https://the.fibery.io/@public/User_Guide/Guide/Context-Views-20) yet, and so they don’t support mirroring in smart folders.

This is great news, but I get an error when using Claude to build the app. Claude has access to my space.
This is Claude’s response, I only changed “my space” name:
“I’ve hit a wall — I can create the app and get dev tokens through Fibery’s MCP tools, but pulling and pushing the actual source code requires calling `https://"` **`myspace`** `".fibery.io/api/custom-apps/...` directly, and my sandboxed environment only has network access to a fixed allowlist (npm, pypi, github, etc.) — `"` **`myspace`** `".fibery.io` isn’t on it, so the `curl` gets rejected (403).”

By “Claude” you mean Claude for Mac? Desktop application?

I’m personally not sure what environment llm providers give in this chat applications.

In my testing Claude for Mac was able to do the task.

I suggest to use claude-code or Code mode in Claude for Mac (or Claude Desktop for Windows). Then claude will operate in your local machine environment and for sure will have needed capabilities.

This “yet” is very exciting! Is it on the roadmap to also be able to create app views as entity views? Being able to flip between different apps that are context aware of that entity would be incredibly useful for us

I love the app and transparency. One thing I was sad to see drop off the roadmap was Templates which at one point recently seemed like it was close?
