Databases will be available for Admins or Creators only in the next release (it was a bug in fact), so usual users will not see them. And it is just for configuration. You enable them, do things you need, disable them.

> I guess I just don’t understand why you take a step “back” after putting so much effort into creating a very nicely done separate config mode. Why make it a hybrid solution. Also, the databases are not views, people might confuse them for being a view. I think it’s just a bad user experience and I’m frankly surprised that people above like it. I don’t get why they would prefer it like this.

I definitely understand where you’re coming from but still prefer the hybrid mode. Previously, when switching to the Space config, you lost a lot of context, and moving to another space to begin edits when you’re already in another space config was a pain.

The only other way I think it would have helped in the non-hybrid solution is to have the ‘Configuration Panel’ allow you to move between different spaces (e.g. a dropdown menu), rather than being stuck in one Space Config… Go back… Look for the other space… Open up Space Config again… Go back… etc.

That being said, once Admin and Creators are the only ones that see it, I think it would fix the issue of confusion. I guess after that it just comes down to personal preference.

This actually was possible in the ‘old’ mode (you could click on the space name and it would drop down so you could switch to configuring a different space) but it seems a fair few people never discovered that(!)

> The new Databases in sidebar is a marked improvement for me. There’s just one gap I’ve run into frequently. Now when clicking on the database name from an entity view or the search bar you are shown the table from the database editor but the sidebar does not expand to reflect where you are in the space setup.

Should be fixed in the new release

> Today’s release has a lot of major and minor changes. We’re also experimenting with video format with some informal explanations, so let us know whether it is useful and we will continue doing it. victory_hand Dependencies on a Timeline View Dependency management was one of the top requested capability in Fibery (well, the top). Now you can create dependencies between same-database entities, visualize them on Timeline View and enjoy automatic dates shift when manipulating cards on Timeline Vi…

> ## Filter and color-code by related Entity’s Fields
>
> You can now filter Entities using fields from related databases. When setting up filters, you’ll see a new `>` arrow next to relation fields, allowing you to access and filter by fields from the related database.

This is missing from Compact Field Relation Filters. Was this intentional? Would be great to have there!!
