# Gallery and thumbnails never load

I’ve been waiting for 10 mins for a thumbnail to generate.
The file size is 18MB. Is it too large?

the thumbnail generator has its own limitation indeed. If we speak about images than it must be less than 21 megapixel (width \* hight). Can you provide smth more than size? What is the file type? Is it a video or maybe it is an image? If it is an image what type and what resolution it has

My camera—Canon EOS R50—shoots 6000 x 4000 (24MP)
…so to upload images that show in the thumbnail, I’ll have to kill the quality

24 mp sounds reasonable, I’ve bumped this limit a bit. Please try again with original image.
