For the files field type, would be great if it was also possible to add a file stored at a url.

You can use the file upload window and just type the url:
 ![firefox_Y4CZnLEkVY](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/fibery/original/2X/0/0e8ac2134c3d2eeb725e05f0313b3980f7a991b0.gif)

Or did I misunderstand you?

@Chr1sG, I think that’s only available on Windows? Regardless, I was thinking of having the “attachment” be essentially a thumbnail to opening the file in a browser (either within fibery or within the user’s web browser). It would look the same as static files attached to entities, but function differently.

It would look the same as static files attached to entities[,](https://onlinetasbihcounter.com/) but function differently.

So do I understand this as…
When there is a URL stored in a Fibery entity, which points to a file (stored in some other non-Fibery service) the Fibery entity shows a thumbnail of that stored file (rather than showing the URL)?
