🦭 Fibery Product Report: June 2025

@Chr1sG

If a user has to click to switch between viewing the Workspace & Personal sections of the sidebar, that could be a source of confusion - i.e. they might not realize that their previously-viewable Workspace sidebar elements have disappeared because their Personal section is now displayed instead (because they clicked, or somehow their Personal sidebar got displayed).

What I’m suggesting is that an admin should be able to set some sidebar elements to always be visible regardless of whether a user is viewing their Personal or the Workspace sidebar.

Just a thought :grinning_face:

EDIT:

So, the ability for an admin to mark particular Workspace sidebar elements as ā€œimportantā€ or ā€œalways visibleā€.

Gotcha :saluting_face:

One thing I find tricky with this is having this pre set up for non-tech users.

If its a big company, each person/role will indeed need their own home. Allowing admins to set the layout / see the layout / copy layout of personal home across users would be good. That way the admin can set up everyone’s personal home before they enter Fibery, and everything is already where it needs to be for you to properly start working. You don’t need to make it from scratch.

(This is why I’m pushing for ā€œUser Entity as User Homeā€, as admins can just open each user and see their data. Other users could as see this as well, its a kind of personal home others are invited into)

That said, you might need a Department Home, for instance. Where the manager can set up the dashboard for the department. Then Workspace + User tabs isn’t enough. Lots to think about.
