# Esoteric issue with dark theme and 'Dark Reader' extension installed

The Dark Reader extension is super popular from Chrome, firefox, Edge, etc. I believe it has a desktop app too (6 million users Chrome).

There is an issue where - if you have dark reader installed and either/or dark theme chosen for fibery or auto theme chosen for fibery - it creates a weird, random, full stop of computer. And it seems like it’s the OS because you have to restart the computer.

It took me a while to realize it was the combination of fibery and dark reader becuase this had never happened on another site before.

To fix it is simple - add fibery as an exception to dark reader - but it may be a challenge to realize that quickly for some. I imagine there is something you could do to your css to keep it from happening ever even without adding the exception. Like I said, it’s never happened on another site.
