# Dynamic Card Background in Whiteboard

When inserting an entity as a card to a whiteboard, I’d love to be able to specify the colour of the background based on the value of the field similar to how the row highlight works in the table view.

Not sure if this is really related, but I have been wondering if having a [colour field type](https://community.fibery.io/t/colour-field-type/3137) that can then be used throughout the system might actually be a good idea.

I think it would make colour coding easier too since you can define this once and don’t have to recreate them in various views.

Fibery itself has a colour type and UI control, it would be great if we can have this at the user level.

Was about to add a feature request for this until I saw there was one already! Would love to change the border and background color of an entity card on a whiteboard based on a status field.
