When we mouseover the name of a field in a table/list/board views, the description (and calculation logic, if it’s a formula field) gets displayed. In many cases for formula fields, it is very complex calculation that is ultimately irrelevant to the user and I’ve had many people get annoyed that it pops up, especially when they’re presenting something and want to use their mouse to draw people’s attention to a certain field. ![Maple-Hill-—-Client-Fibery](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/fibery/original/2X/2/2a03b0178fc62ad95338fdce9544b52f5374d15e.jpeg) In other cases, the field description might only be used for internal use and might have text like “DO NOT DELETE!” that we do not want to have displayed on a mouseover to your average user. Could an option be added to fields to “Hide field description in views” and in the cases of formula fields an additional option to “Hide formula calculation in views”? For formulas, another option could be to add a special formula icon in the description that could be moused over if the user wants to see the actual calculation logic, but by default it’s visibly hidden? ---

Agree. Although I don’t know what’s the use case for showing the formula? IMO when it’s really important to know the formula, you can put a (simplified/readable) version in the description field. ---

Make sense, we will maybe just hide it for all formulas. ---

Yeah, if seeing the formula was still important for certain fields users can always just paste it in the description. ---

Oh I think we will just always hide it and show Formula Description (if it is non empty) ---
