Since the new feature “do not show new fields on entity view when multiple entity views exist”.

This results in funky behaviour when converting fields:

1. Convert Single Select → Multi Select
2. to-one → to-many (either end)
3. to-many → to-one (either end)

After conversion, the field completely disappears.

This makes sense, since under the hood it deletes and creates a new field, but is unclear to the user.

Bonus points if it could even keep the type of view it’s displayed as “Compact View” or “Relation View” after the field change and the placement it had in the entity view.
