I’d like to add a request for a “comments” field type.

This would be particularly useful in Table view, and possibly Collections as they begin to get more “spreadsheet” - like visibility, such as inclusion of Rich Text fields, and generally some Notion-style inline editing capability.

With the “Comments” column, you could have a very powerful “Project Summary” view for example, where thanks to the comments field, you could display at a glance the most recent comment for each entity in the list. This would frequently be used for, say, project updates. So you could see all project updates in one succinct view, very useful! And you can’t do this in Notion or Coda…

ClickUp has a nice “comments” field type, I think something like this would be great.

> [@\[✔︎ DONE\] Display more information/fields in collection view](https://community.fibery.io/t/done-display-more-information-fields-in-collection-view/45/4):
>
> Without this, you are forced to write comments both in the Activity Entity, which is natural when it is completed, and then **also** in the Company Entity’s comments, if you want to be able to look at the Company Entity and see the relevant notes.
>
> If you could see the Activity Entity’s comments, you wouldn’t have to enter that information also in the Company’s Entity.
>
> ClickUp has an interesting implementation of Comments in List view. You can both see the most recent comment, and see a comment count. In the comment count column, you can click and add in a new comment inline, very useful.

Hoping this makes sense to the Fibery team. And @Jean, @Shafqat_Ullah and @helloitse, and of course any other fellow community members, would love to get your feedback on this as well!

Just closing the loop here on two related requests, would like to bump this up along with a way this would work which I also just commented on over here:

> [@Table view Comments field - sort and last N display option](https://community.fibery.io/t/table-view-comments-field-sort-and-last-n-display-option/382):
>
> I’d like to suggest: In a Table view… for the Comments field, you consider adding: ability to sort in reverse chronological, so the last comment shows up on the left ability to show just the “last N” comments in either chronological or reverse chronological order I hope you might consider.

Thanks!

I am probably just talking with myself here, but wanted to see if there would be any interest for this feature out there, and perhaps merge with [Table view Comments field - sort and last N display option](https://community.fibery.io/t/table-view-comments-field-sort-and-last-n-display-option/382) to bring that one vote over here too, haha!

Still would find this very useful. Most recently my team is setting up new tables of data that Fibery is proving very adept at handling, but if we could see the comments about them in a column at the end of a table, something akin to a “notes” column you’d use in a spreadsheet, it would really help readability of this type of data in Fibery, and make it even more of a replacement for a sheets/excel type app.

Thanks!
