While we are waiting for the [Email integration for CRM](https://community.fibery.io/t/email-integration-for-crm-use/1222) use feature to be implemented, would it make sense for the email address to be clickable via the mailto approach? > **[mailto](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mailto)** > > mailto is a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) scheme for email addresses. It is used to produce hyperlinks on websites that allow users to send an email to a specific address directly from an HTML document, without having to copy it and entering it into an email client. > It was originally defined by Request for Comments (RFC) 1738 in December 1994, expanded by RFC 2368 in July 1998, and refined by RFC 6068 in October 2010. > "mailto" can be used within an HTML document to generate a link for send... So basically the currently text email address of `smith@gmail.com` would become: `mailto:smith@gmail.com` and look like this: [smith@gmail.com](mailto:smith@gmail.com) So when you click the email / link it will automatically open your default email client, with the destination email address pre-filled. ---

I’m not sure I get the problem. When I use an email field, the entry is clickable and does launch my email client, prefilled with the address. What am I not getting? 🤔 ---

Ah yes, I see. It is clickable from within the entity view, but not from Table view, which is weird. We should fix this. ---

Following up on the status of this bug. Seems like its still present? Can you also move this post into the bug category if that’s more appropriate? **EDIT:** Thinking about this some more email integration (which is in the works) might make this feature request redundant.
