# Character / Wordcount

Many text editors have character / wordcount options on textfields.

We have some pages where we prepare things like social media posts and character CVs, and seeing word/character count would help (as these often have a character limit).

I would expect this to be a handy feature on the multiline text fields, where it shows the words and characters (or only the words, and characters on hover) while you are typing.

Might be good to add a “selected text” word count option. Aka if you select a part of the text then it shoes the words/characters in the highlighted text.
