# Allow Multi Select fields to function like buttons

Allow code in Multi Select fields, so they can be used to trigger an action.

It would also be interesting to allow the code (or some code, somewhere) to set the contents of the Multi Select.

Hi again @Matt_Blais, we have talked about something similar ( I hope I’m right this time!) along the lines of conditional formatting in a few places, for example here:

In this case, the contents of a multi-select are controlled by another. If you select “vegetable,” you get the options “cabbage” and “carrots.” If you select “fruit,” you get the options “apple” and “pear.”
