# Add Inactive Users

I am building out a series of tools for my team in fibery but I don’t want to invite them to use it just yet until I have figured out some of workflows and have populated the system with some baseline data to showcase the setup. One of the things that I wanted to do was to illustrate assignment and @mentions, but I am not sure how to do that without inviting/activating users.

Is there a way to add some inactive users and then progressively activate them on the system so that when they start using the system, there are already content/tasks/projects assigned to them?

If I’ve understood correctly, I think you could just disable access to the apps for the other users, so that even if they have an account, they can’t see/do anything. Then you can gradually turn on access (app by app, or elevating them from No Access to Viewer, to Contributor, and finally to Editor).
