Since some items were created via CSV Import, they don’t include the Created By field. Setting it to the person who imported the data would be ideal.

Is this for logging/tracking?
I often prefer to see system actions as a system actor instead of an authenticated user for easy rollbacks or proper auditing.

Recently a member of my team asked about this. He found it confusing why his imported entities didnt show that he created it.

But an authenticated user initiated the import. Maybe it should show “Created by [User] via Import” in the logs.

What do you think?

Can’t argue with that. It’s very clear
