Hi!

As a French speaking Fibery user who loves the search feature, I’m frequently running into an issue that should be pretty simple to fix (I think!).

Currently the search results consider accented characters as different characters, (eg. e and é, which are really common in French, or a and à, o and ô, etc).

However since were working as a team, sometimes people used accents, sometimes not, and searching quickly becomes a chore if you have to check every variation in order to find the entity you’re looking for.

I assume this is an oversight as the search feature isn’t case sensitive at the moment (which is great!)

Hello!

This is absolutely true, currently search considers accented and non-accent characters as different ones.

Would it be convenient for you if you could find find all character variations when searching by non-accent character?

Like `déja` could be found by searching both by `déja` and `deja`
But `deja` on the other hand won’t be found by `déja`

Hi!

Your suggestion would be an improvement over what is present now, but I think having every permutation be searchable would be even better. This way a search might sometimes (rarely) show unwanted results but I feel that situation is acceptable as long as you can easily find what you’re looking for.

It seems the issue has been fixed as of now, 😀🎉

After further testing the issues is fixed when using the search function (ctrl + k) but not when linking entities together. The relation drop down menu is still sensitive to accented characters.
